LIFE IS GOOD...are you missing it?

Are you so busy with multi-tasking, checking e-mail, chores and work that you have forgotten how to enjoy the little stuff? Your life is happening right now, so ask yourself: Am I truly living in the moment?

Instead of racing against the clock, slow down and enjoy the everyday moments. We need to pay attention to what we are experiencing, while we are experiencing it.

However frantic you may feel, remind yourself that this is it. Maybe you are playing with your kids, washing dishes, working, walking outdoors...whatever it may be, your life is really only a series of these very moments and going through them on autopilot means you might miss the whole thing.

"Mindfulness" is the practice of keeping focused on the present moment. For some it can be very effective in dealing with depression and anxiety.

You don't need to meditate deeply, just pay attention to the small things, such as, the stillness of the night air, the stars in the sky, the feel of water against your skin, the beauty of nature, the smell of a flower. Engage fully in what you are doing while you are doing it. Quit waiting for the good parts of life and seize the moment - the here and now.

If you are always wanting what you don't have or always wishing for more, take stock. Be grateful for what you do have and it is likely you have all you need.

"Mindfulness" is a way to get back to what matters: human contact, meaningful relationships, living kindly, compassion and gratitude.

AND remember: "You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence, because you’re just going to spend it once."

"If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought."

Life changes you can make:

  • Love yourself for who you are and be confident.

  • Stay motivated for yourself, not for anyone else.

  • Eat healthy and take supplements (such as Calcium Montmorillonite Clay) that your body needs. (Tip: I also love gin gin candies, they are great for your stomach and for motion sickness related to travel.)

  • Exercise: Take walks in nature, focus on the small things like a butterfly or leaf or the clouds, hug a tree in the spring and summer - they have great energy, practice yoga, dancing, rollerblading, cross country skiing.

  • Get weekly or bi monthly energy work.

  • Get weekly or bi monthly massage.

  • Do daily meditation and breathing.
Your real “I” is not a collection of thoughts, but something far deeper. This is the most significant realization of meditation – that you do not have to be a slave to your thoughts. Concentrate of breath and when a bad thought comes it take it out of the mind.

  • Music therapy.

  • Use crystals: they can help release anxiety and fear, great for meditation and to open the mind and body.

  • Clean with vinegar, water and baking soda (it's chemical free and works!). Thieves spray (good for immune system and cleaning)

  • Practice the Law of Attraction
